Plus Minus Efes

Pamfas is a quick way of saying Plus Minus Efes, which means plus minus zero.

Efes (Zero)

Efes is zero in Hebrew: אפס. Zero also appears in 0, aleph zero: the countable infinity.

The Idea

With most numbers, ± means two sides: ±5 is +5 or -5. With zero, both sides meet.
+0 and -0 are the same value, so ±0 becomes a small contradiction: it says two directions, but lands in one place.

±0 carries other associations as well: contradictions, balanced, zero error, and more.

±0 marks the point where accuracy and ambiguity overlap. Not an error, but the trace of one.
It marks the tension where exactness leaves room for interpretation.
